Is Just Enough, Enough for God?

Is just enough, enough for God?

A few thoughts and encouragement for your week ahead.

We are in a series in church that is titled GROW, as series titles go for a church, it is the sermon equivalent to Apple’s Computer System “X”. In case you aren’t up on all things Apple Inc. In 1997, Steve Jobs returned to Apple Computer, the company he founded after being not so gently removed from CEO by his board back in 1985. After 12 years he returned to Apple and took a dying depressed and lost company and developed it into the greatest computer company on the planet. One of the first things he did was replace the old operating system with a new system he had developed after he left Apple years earlier. The new system was simply called system 10, or “X”. Jobs knew that in order to move the company forward and to create the next generation of Computers that could run the kinds of programs and software he envisioned in the future, he had to kill off the old system and create a brand new system.

Everything we learn or more importantly, everything we catch in church is taught or pitched with the intent to teach us to connect with God. Everything that is alive grows, it never stays the same. Our bodies may appear to stop growing at a certain point but in reality we are either growing or shrinking our entire lives. We are either moving forward or backwards. Likewise, Spiritually we were designed to communicate with our God every day, we are either growing our relationship with Him or it is deteriorating. We are made to carry the presence of God into the world and share it with everyone……EVERYONE!

“God will love you where you are but can He use you where you are?” — Ps Jeremy Robertson.

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

I love this scripture, God is making a way into areas that were once uninhabitable, unreachable, unthinkable! God is making a way into the spiritual deserts and wastelands. Everywhere that you think is unreachable and a complete loss,  God is actually making accessible to the person that takes a hold of God's word and walks in faith that God is a God of Miracles.

The entire New Testament can be summed up in a few words, “God Loves You, Go Tell Everyone”.

Salvation is not the end of a spiritual search, it is the beginning of a New Life with the King of Kings.
Check out what Paul says in Ephesians , this is his introduction and it's awesome!

Ephesians 1:4-10 For (God) he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Wow, we serve an amazing, BIG God! Check out vs. 4 in the text above, read it again, it says
“BEFORE the Creation of the World, He Chose Us!!! Before the heavens, planets, oceans or mountains.

God chose to be in relationship with You AND He wants to fill you with a super natural power (the Holy Spirit). To Go into the world, to Repair the Broken Hearts.
To Heal the sick.
To lead the lost Back to God.
To Be a Light to those living in Darkness!
To be a Witness that God is Alive.
To Bless those that curse you.
To Bind and Banish Darkness from peoples lives.
and so much more.....

There is So much more to living a life with God then “Just Enough”

~ Peace~
